Safe Work Month at Workpower

Workpower marked October’s Safe Work Month with simple, on-the-floor activities that kept safety visible across sites. Two initiatives—Safety Bingo and the short “Safe T” conversations—helped teams turn daily risk checks into routine practice.

Staff used bingo cards featuring everyday actions such as PPE checks, pre-start reviews, near-miss reporting, correct lifting techniques, and workstation housekeeping. Verification by teammates encouraged peer accountability and kept participation strong throughout the month.

Five-minute, single-topic discussions at the start of shifts focused on the risks most relevant to each workplace, from manual handling and slips/trips to vehicle movements and chemical storage. Each chat ended with one clear action to implement before the next shift.

With Halloween closing out the month, the goal remains the same: keep the only “scares” on the costume rack—not in the safety data.

Thank you to everyone for participating and making Safe Work Month a success!
